Walking on the sidewalk
I remember as a kid walking down the sidewalk with friends. When we came upon someone walking the other way we would go single file till we were past them. Apparently that no longer applies as I have passed a few kids that walk side by side no matter what. So much for common courtesy.

Have you also noticed they walk on the wrong side most of the time..I was always told from a very young age to walk facing traffic .

I will walk facing traffic if I am on the side of the road but generally I walk on whatever side I happen to be on if it is just a sidewalk.
Re: Walking on the sidewalk
I agree but I had a cousin who was on the side walk walking away from traffic and a drunk driver jumped the curb and killed him he may have had time to move if he saw him food 4 thought

Not their fault. My neighbour always complains his 16 year won`t do anything around the house. He will trip over the empty blue box but won`t bring it in.
I keep asking him, whose fault is that he won`t do anything.

I live on the street by the hospital in tillsonburg and you would not believe the number of people when leaving the hospital are on their cellphones I have seen them jump the curb .just miss on coming traffic and missing the stop sign and still folks walking with their backs to traffic no chance at all if the timing just happens to be against them.I guess if you don,t see it coming it won,t hurt as much..

Walking into the flow is the best idea. Unless the car is coming the other way and swerves across the lane and over the curb to hit you.

Although it has an emergency purpose, that stop sign is a bit out of sync with the rest of the street. No excuse for not stopping at it tho.
