My taxes have gone up 603.50% since I built my house. Not that I am keeping track or anything like that

I may be falling into the trap of "the naive" here, when I say that it's pleasant to think that the increase is so little. You know - that trap that says "We'll tell them it's going to be 8% - and guess what? We've reduced it to to less than 1%"

On the other hand, less than 1% increase doesn't have me running to the bank for a loan to pay the taxes! So, I guess I'll be a thankful "naive" person.

Just think what would have happened to the rates if they'd gotten rid of the bus service? - used by about 15 people?

wll the increase is 65,000,000. so the 95,000. the bus costs is 95/65,000=
.00164 % less, so it would be down to about 7.9986% increase!
a person paying 4000.in taxes would save each resident paying that much,about $00.41 !!
we could get 3 of us to pool all of our savings and buy a small coffee to share at timmies,if we could get someone the go for the hst for us !!
i sure wish they had thrown that bus idea out ? ?
