A Gentle Reminder Empty A Gentle Reminder

Post by observer Thu Sep 20, 2012 8:23 pm

Recently, I turned 70. I am probably in as good a health as most 70 year olds.

My son came to me today with a wish that he's been harbouring for a little bit of time to tell me how important I am to him. We are not normally a "gushy" family, so these are words not easily spoken. So, he was uncomfortable bringing up the topic, but said that he wanted me to know how important I was to his life. He didn't want something to happen to me - and have to regret that he'd never told me - IN WORDS - what I'd meant to him.

I KNEW it, of course - but how wonderful to hear the words.

A reminder to all of us - TELL them while you can!

Happy Belated Birthday Observer! Hope you are handling the milestone well. Some do and some don't, not that there's much choice! LOL
I think your son gave you the greatest gift of all. Lucky you!
Glad to see you back online with us again too. I've missed your words of wisdom.
Have a great evening!

Yes she has the rest of the year to do it. Just a gentle reminder as people of that age tend to forget. I can say that till next year. Very Happy

Don't worry about the number Observer ... it is just that ... a number. You are only as old as you feel.

In my case, I feel about 20 years older than my age!!! A Gentle Reminder 1601752442
