Just saw on CD989:

Tornado warning issued for Norfolk County

Oddly enough neither Environment Canada, The Weather Channel, or the Weather Network mention the tornado warning.

That is not a tornado warning. Environment Canada has not issue that (not yet, anyways). That article doesn't even make sense if you read the text portion.

Says we could be hit - then t trbs around and indicates chances are slim?

Anyhow, it is supposed to get wild tonight. We need the rain, but not the bad stuff with it.

Agreed, we need the rain but not the twister. I have trouble with the validity of anything reported on cd98.9 website. This report, Toyota investing $100 in manufacuring advancement, John Axford being benched are just a few of the faux pas I can recall just recently off the top of my head. Seems they can't get responsible reporting nor grammar right. What concerns me is that when they do stumble on an accurate report, will people trust it? Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once and a while! Seems to me that we are lacking a source of reliable, trustworthy,timely news reporting in this area.

Last week they had a pic of a speed limit sign that looked to have been taken in a town, but it was paired up with a news article about the speed limit reduction along the causeway.

Two times I posted a comment in regards to the fact that the pic didn't appear to be taken in Long Point. Neither time was my comment passed to post.

We used to listen to it daily in the mornings. It got so annoying that we finally switched to another local station. No disrespect to the actual ppl is meant by this comment, but We really found it lame. From Kate to Asta (who missed more days than she worked) ... Not the station for us to become dedicated to listening.

107.3 has great news, road reports and music. They report more about Simcoe then cd98 which likes to report more about Woodstock

WEll let me try this again , Think I erased the first try
Well you can all thank me for the rain last night . I got the wife to put on a Cree headdress and strip dwn naked and go out and do a raindance in the back pasture . Now this was quite a chore ,do you know how much nector of the grape it took to convince her to do it . It was a tough Job ,but somebody had to do it Iwas with her the whole way . Imagine 2 60year olds out in the moon light -1 dancing and the other trying to catch her , Hell it might of looked like a horror show
Started out with 1 bottle and supper and talking about the things we did here 40 years ago when we met . And the next thing I know is there are too many dead soldiers this morning . So dont blame me if you have to start cutting grass again IT WAS THE GRAPES

I think what started it was the topic of the Good Brothers are coming back to Dover in Aug . And remembering the tradition of having all go skinny dipping at 2-3 in the morning after they played . Could you imagine 20-30 sixty year olds doing it now at Dover beach and the way the OPP ,s are . Imagine the headlines in the Dover rag and the simcoe reformer
