What makes you smile?

What makes you smile or your heart sing?
Things that do it for me:
-when a sweet little voice calls me and says Hi Grandma. Can I come over?
-completion of a project
-watching a random act of kindness
-listening to children sing
-hearing my hubby snore because I know he's still with me!
-when my dog puts his chin on my pillow, quietly waiting for me to open my eyes and when I do open them, his tail wags so hard the bed shakes!
-talking to aunts/uncles/cousins who are all well over 85 and love to call me.
What can you add to the list? There are so many things from which to choose!!

having enjoyable dreams about people and places!
and just last week getting a birthday card from a former boss that i havn't had the good fortune of seeing in probaly 20 years !
and having another former boss that is in a nursing home tell a staff member that works there nice things about me even when he dosn't know they know me !
i enjoy things that are said about me in my absense even if they are critical,as long as they are true !

I smile when I look out at my flowerbeds in the spring - especially in the very early spring when the first bulbs put out their blooms.
I smile when I see the birds bathing or drinking in the active fountain just steps from my kitchen patio door - whether I know what bird they are or not.
I smile when I'm "chatting" with my 13 yr. old grandson at 11 p.m. on Facebook - and he says "Nite - I love U"
I smile when I stop in at Fernlea IV something book store - charity for Haiti schools - nad see TONS of books on the shelves that have been donated from people in the Delhi/Simcoe/ Tillsonburg area. You wouldn't BELIEVE how many books they have for sale!

Observer, doesn't your heart just melt when such a connection is made with our grandchildren?
The book store owned by former teacher Bernie is quite an amazing place. I think I read a while back that there is a possibility of the store closing. Am I correct on this??????

Haven't heard about the store closing - at least not directly. Saw a sign that they're looking for more volunteers - may check out if they want me.
Re grandkids - of course they're the main reason everyone has kids - they just didn't KNOW that for sure, when they were having their kids! LOL
