Christmas cards
Have you sent any? Do you plan to?
$1.00 per card is a pretty high tariff - and that's after buying the card.
AND sending overseas costs $2.50 per card!!!!!

Re: Christmas cards
I sent out 36 cards @$1.15 US for postage. Here in FL no matter where in the world you only need to buy a global stamp at $1.15. In Canada, I always had to specify the destination. Scotland was about double what I pay in FL. Now that I think about it, I believe the postage cost more than the cards!

Re: Christmas cards
I decided I would only send to people I don't see around the Xmas season. That turned out to be a LOT OF PEOPLE. Contacts I've been keeping up - but mostly just annually - of people from University; some of the schools I taught at; some of the people we've met on trips. Then add relatives in Belgium; a daughter in Australia and people we've met there; people we've met while boating - used to see a lot of - maybe not much anymore - PLUS they don't live nearby - so when summer ends, so do the contacts. Amazing how large that list can get!

Re: Christmas cards
We send less then 10 cards. Do send a Christmas card email to most people who are not real close but we keep in touch with.

Re: Christmas cards
Our list has diminished over the decades but we still send birthday/Christmas cards to those we hold near and dear or live far away. Nice thing is we receive the same back, don't spend a lot money on gifts so there is no outlay of additional expenses.

I send my mom a Christmas card and that's about it now. Like Retired, I also keep I touch via email and facebook with other family members, and those few that I can't reach out to that way will get a phone call if at all possible.

About the same here. We usually only get a few each year - maybe five.
