a commentary on how to figure out the price difference, that i found on the auto's.ca site !
US?Canadian Pricing
Are Canadians so nieve that they can't see how much they are being hosed for until the Loonie reaches parity with the US buck. Even when our dollar was exchanging at 62 cents on the US dollar auto prices were skewed so as to allow $20,000 ripoff on some luxury models. The price gouging was minimal for low end vehicles and escalated up through the pricier vehicles. If you can't figure that out you deserve to pay the Canadian price. A good rule of thumb in Canada is get the MRSP deduct 25% 0ff the base price, then deduct 25% off the assesories cost. Add the new base price and new asssory prices together and that total will be within 3% of their inventory price. Allowng for the three % they already get from manufacturer how much you are willing to part with between your invoice calc and their MRSP is how much you should be paying. Caution however many vehicles are priced between $5000 and $10,000 cheaper in the USA so your best buy may still be in the US.
