This is amazing, what the drone can see and how it can see.

The information is classified and the feeds are not available to the public, but spy satellites, hundreds of miles up can read your license plates, maybe even more.
As to drones ,this is a huge growth industry, small drones which can hover,( less than a meter across) and are pretty well silent are being used by law enforcement, investigators etc. It could hover outside one of your windows and you wouldn't know it.One other really cool use is for crop surveys.

Hit the library and pick up Kill Decision by Daniel Suarez. He weaves a fairly believable story of drones and where they are possibly headed in the future. Kind of scary really.
