Shopping scam
Okay, can we all agree that if you get anything telling you to transfer money to someone you don't know that it is 99.9% a scam and don't do it.

Re: Shopping scam
I know. Really? How can anyone be so gullible in this day and age?
But it happens. We have mining stock certificates from the early 1900s in our family stuff. The purchasers were from Owen Sound ON. The mine was in Colorado I believe. (The paperwork is at home and I am at the cottage.) The two 'investors' spend an equivalent to the price of a house. Not only did the mine not 'pan' out, there was NO such place!
Scams are everywhere, anytime.

Re: Shopping scam
some times (with no money being paid to them) you can become a secret shopper.
my swife answered a survey, and afterwards was offered a job to become a secret shopper at restaurants locally (chain places, sorta fast food outlets) and has been one for over 18 months.
she gets free meals, some in rest.and some takeout, for one person,or two.(del.is paid on takeouts).
she must answer reports within 16 hours, then is paid,up to $50. per for each.(they at first only offered $15.,which she took, but after a while declined taking part, but they were so happy with the details of her reports they raised it at first to $35.but then decided t pay $50. saying it was worth that uch.
so she normally do's it 2-4 times per week.
pays for little shopping spree's.
so the ones who as for money are phony, but not all are.
