Canadian Tire parking lot Empty Canadian Tire parking lot

Post by gale force Fri May 03, 2013 12:32 pm

Canadian tire had something in their ad that I wanted so I forced myself to go into that maze. It hasn't gotten any better since I tried it last fall. Perhaps once Roulstons old store is demolished from the front of the strip, things will improve. Right now, all I can say is "if I don't HAVE TO Go there, I won't. I think they either need to put in some four way stops or something. Sure, all the stand alone stores such as the hairdresser and the book shop want to have direct access, but in my opinion it just seems to complicate the whole thing. Once I did get parked, it was with trepidation that I backed out of that space without having a clear sight line of oncoming cars. Does any one else have any difficulty with this lot?

I hate it. That curved centre median was a brain wave and the guy actually got paid to dream that up.

The designer of the parking lot sure wasted a lot of space with the weird curves and curbs.

I noticed that people trying to avoid that wavy/curvy part cut through the Gas Bar and cut off those of us willing to negotiate that turn onto Berkely.
There certainly was a wave in somebody's brain designing that driveway. They probably don't live around hers so-No Problem!
