Wind Turbines
I am asking a question.I know the blades have a ten year guarantee on them at least the ones made by siemans do..they are 64 meters long each blade and 3 per tower..one blade uses about 100 gallons of resin to make and several hundred pounds of fibreglass and about 400 pounds for the connecting hub made of steel..research shows the blades lasting 10 to 20 years at most..now my question you can recycle the steel but not the rest of the blade so what land fill site would want the old blades? wish i could think of a way to recycle them because I think they will just wind up being stored with no use to be found for them..Storage won,t be cheap nor will landfill for them I guess that will all be added on to future hydro rates maybe we could confiscate McLiars pension to pay for it..

Nor do I. Just listened to Council's decisions on garbage bags for household residents tonight. Nothing in household garbage comes near to those turbine blades. LOL

Not to hijack your post Tom. Did council discuss going from 6 bags of garbage to 3.

they spray it with a mix of new resin and the old after it has went through a copper gun,i think ?
