A Canadian girl won the Giant Slalom on the weekend. She's 21 - calls Guelph home - but MAY have grown up in Brantford. First time in over 20 some years that a Canadian has won this event.

I misunderstood when I heard her birthplace as Brantford. From Wikipedia:

Erin Mielzynski (born May 25, 1990) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Canada. Born in Brampton, Ontario, she primarily races in the technical events and specializes in slalom.
