New Shows on Television
There are several new shows on tv lately. Last night I saw Smash for the first time and loved the musical part of it, but then I do love musicals. I admire the strength the singers show in their voices and execution. The story evolves around Marilyn Monroe. One of the stars is Debra Messing from the old tv series called Will and Grace. I laughed so hard when watching that show too.
Any one else like it? Or , what new show have you been keen on?

Used to like Will & Grace - but haven't watched any new TV shows - or even very many old ones! LOL

I've been watching "A Gifted Man" this season and found it enjoyable. I don't watch TV often - much prefer a good book.

Re: New Shows on Television
I'm finding myself not liking TV as much these days.
I am not puritanical by any means, very open minded if you knew me, but I am not liking all the masturbation jokes and all the cheap sexual innuendos on 2-1/2 Men and 2 Broke Girls for example. There are others , but these 2 came to mind very quickly.
There is humour with thought behind it, and there are cheap laughs.
Please leave the cheap laughs to Mel Brooks and Leslie Nielson please. They are experts.

Neither do I watch the two shows you mentioned slowfood for the very same reason. Nor do I like Second City Stuff. But Smash, is great to listen to the music, I like The Gifted Man mentioned earlier. Can't say I care for Arctic Air. Love the ariel shots and the beautiful scenery of the NWT but the plot is very slow. I kind of find the language bland too. Not the words, but the tones. Like Touch too. Another new one is GBC. Don't even know what the letters represent!
