Women Only
Hey Gals...have any of you ever tried the Spanx Bra? Yay or nay? Pros and cons? I'd like one, thinking about the no bumps in the back etc, but wonder how well the bra will work without adjustable straps?

"Secret" is the key word. We'd never post where men could read about it!!!
Have you seen the movie What Women Want with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt? Hilarious.

Re: Women Only
I have not tried it. Have heard of spanx but hasn't tried any of it. Might be screaming for some in a few years though

A little news item the other night that Spanx (not in bras - but in undies and pants) may be causing numbness in the legs for some women. Don't remember all the medical details - about pressure on nerves etc that was the supposed cause.

As I was surfing through the guide tonight after we got home, the Shopping Channel had an exclusive feature all about Spanx. What to do, what to do...suffer in silence and wear it or just let it all hang loose....

Re: Women Only
I know this is a "Women's Only"topic, but I have some knowledge in the area.
I have puchased a lot (A LOT!) of lingerie over the years for my ladies, have been involved in professional theatre,my brother-in- law designs costumes for TV and Movies, and I read a lot.
It is the undergarment of choice for many ladies at the golden Globes and Oscars. They are one of Oprah's Favorite things.
In theatre and dance they keep down the jiggles, keep things in place, nothing "pops" out when it shouldn't.
They slim you down and there are no panty or bra lines or "bulgy" areas. Smooth! The caveat is, they can restrict breathing and blood flow, but who cares if you look Fabulous!

Good to know Slowfood. I think I can handle a short time of pain if the end result is Fabulous. Now, should I double Spanx, will I look doubly good?????
And if I may ask, sorry.....if one purchases an all in one garment, how do you decide the correct size if your top half is more generous than the middle part, or vice versa?

Re: Women Only
I thought my 95 year old mother-in-law was the only one left who wore those "all-in'one garments"!

LOL
I've just never understood the concept of putting oneself in such discomfort - just to look a LITTLE better! Of course, I'm a little claustrophobic about anything tight on my body - even belts!

Re: Women Only
You mean they only make you look a LITTLE better? Oh my. I was hoping for an Opra change. Haven't you noticed how slim she looks in the magazine but not in real life????? (I know, I know, it's airbrushing.) I thought the all in one could do that for me!
