Power outage
Just finished dinner tonight when the power went out. 5:55. Assume it was everyone turning on their ac and stoves that over powered the grid. Tried listening to CD989 tonight at 7pm and 8pm but they were too busy playing music. do they not have news on the hour anymore? Guess if the end of he world happens I won't listen to them for news.
Re: Power outage
I have found the same in the winter time. They have no idea what is going on. Tillsonburg has more local news the Simcoe does. 107.3

Re: Power outage
It's a 'puter at CD98.
Nobody there after hours.
Been in the back at the station a few times, very automated,Quite impressive really.
FYI Gerry is not a robot-yet.
I just remembered, back, way back when they were CFRB 1600 with a studio halfway between downtown and the fairgrounds.
During Fair week we were experiencing a rip snorter of a thunderstorm. They said during the storm-"Slight chance of showers".
So not much has changed in 40 years.

Re: Power outage
I listen to CFRB almost every day.
Complete talk format. Left and right wing hosts, mostly right though.
Very Toronto centric. Mayor Ford even has a show every Sunday.

"CFRB. 10 10 on your dial." I forget the name of the guy on here when we listened to it in the car 30+ years ago.
