Weekend Plans?

Anyone have special plans for the weekend? I'll be attending a baby shower for my oldest niece. When her baby arrives, I'll officially become a Great Aunt. My niece told me I was already a great aunt. (Guess she stays in the will!!) She's such a sweetie.
I'd like to look for some wallpaper for the cottage master bedroom. Since I'm the one that sleeps in there, I think it should be called the Mistress bedroom. No, wait...that sounds sinful. Okay! Let's keep it!!!

And yes - keep the Mistress bedroom title - after all, isn't it time for a bit more equality in terminolgy? LOL

Otherwise, a quiet weekend here. Did the bathroom reno pre-shopping earlier this week.

A lot like the first one we did last winter. Totally gutted - new tile floor and new fixtures

For the cottage bathroom, I ordered tiles from England. They are very unique and because our bathroom is extremely small, I wanted a fun theme. Google harvey maria flooring bubbles. Neat!

Observer, who did your tile work?

A fellow from near Otterville. He's a wizard! Anymore, he just does commercial work - but we've been using him for over 20 years - so he comes for us when we need him. Mind you - as often as not it's from 7 - 11 p.m. when it gets done!

He/we did our kitchen about 15 years ago. It was then that we learned how to be tile laying assistants - again from 7 - 11 p.m. - and sometimes into 1 a.m. or better! LOL

Thanks. I only get one shot every 35 years or so - so do lots of research, design and product shopping. Cathedralled the ceiling, and put in a stackable washer/dryer & storage behind the mirrored doors. The angles and the tile border in the floor mimic the kitchen layout.

LOL It's a good thing I write events on the calendar. Tomorrow we are having dinner with friends and NEXT week is the baby shower!

[Ruby Tuesday]

No plans this weekend! Was traveling a couple days this week in Ohio for work, so it's good to be home. I think I am going to get together everything for the accountant for tax time, get my butt to the gym, and maybe even tackle a closet to clean.

Ruby - it sure seems as though your job keeps you on the road a lot. Is that an aspect you enjoy? - or just a necessary evil?

Love it! Don't travel weekly or anything, maybe 6 times a year. My kids are 18 and 13 now so it's no problem. I love shopping and trying new restaurants.
