A Sigh of Relief
Thank goodness I can open my windows again!! What did we do before A/C? I set my unit at 80 degrees and it ran almost constantly. I really am not looking forward to my electric bill this month - or the water portion. Ouch!!

We don't have a/c but generally there was a cool breeze to make it more tolerable. Didn't do much the first day of the heat wave but did boat into town to have dinner at Chemong Lodge. The next morning we spent 1.5 hourst tubing. LOTS of fun! Nights were okay but certainly MUCH easier to sleep now. We seem to have an invasion of ants and spiders too.

It seems to be earwigs down here Kishgo. I absolutely hate those creepy crawlies and have found some inside the house in the last few days. I brought in the "Shopper" yesterday that had been left on my front porch, and shook it out good before I came in the house! No ants yet though.

Re: A Sigh of Relief
Yes we were able to open our windows just in time to let in the smoke from the neighbours fire pits. I bet they didn't have their windows open.

Re: A Sigh of Relief
Am I thinking of something else? I thought that fire pits and chimeras (know that isn't spelled correctly) were banned in Simcoe? My old neighbours bought one of those brazier type burners, used it once, and found out that they weren't legal here in town.

There was a change in the bylaw. I think fire pits are legal. Not sure about chiminaea.
Re: A Sigh of Relief
Both legal now, should be legal only in their living room. Have a beautiful Sunday anyway folks. Maybe get some rain also
