NOW - we have another shooting in a Toronto mall!!! - the Eaton Centre.

It would appear that the guy who was killed was "targeted". I guess that's another word for being the target of a gang-related kill. But meantime - 6 others injured? Isn't it a bit scary that these criminals have no compunction about committing these criminal acts in such a public place? - and wantonly disregarding all the innocent bystanders?

Crazy world we live in. A very dear friend of ours and her three kids live in downtown Toronto. She says she feels absolutely safe in her area. Well, good for her, Toronto makes me feel very unsafe. When we do HAVE to go to the city, we never fully relax for a huge number of reasons. This shooting has moved closer to the top of the list.

It's now being suggested that there was a second target - who DIDN"T die, it seems. And, at the risk of sounding racist, the name of the victim who died (with gang connections) sounded more mid Eastern than Caribbean.
