Do you have an "exit" plan?
My daughter insists that when she hits a certain age, she's going to do her first sky dive - and not remember how to open the chute!
I tell her that I'd rather do the carbon monoxide route - less traumatic - in the garage, car running, doors closed - with a good book. I'm just afraid that if I hadn't finished the book - I'd shut off the car!!! Plan defeated!

I like your plan much better than your daughter's! PERSONALLY, I am just thinking about a retirement plan, not an exit plan yet. Although as you may see from my other post that hubby may have had an initial exit plan. ... Lol

Exit plan planned? Are you kidding me? Live each day to its fullest now while it's possible and then maybe someday in about 20 years the exit plan can be discussed! That's MY plan and I'm sticking to it!!!

What ever your plan just be considerate of who will find you, and have to clean up.

Whimsical thoughts, kishgo. Not making REAL plans. But, when you watch someone near to you deteriorate - it DOES start you thinking about how unappealing THAT "exit" is.

Anyone have a preplanned funeral? I don't, and I don't have anything special called out in my will about final arrangements.

To be honest, my obituary is written, my hubby knows my wishes, as I do his. Our wills are not quite up to date but good enough. That's as much thought as I want to devote on the topic for now. I watched my parents die slow horrible deaths, right to their last breath so I do understand the exit plan. I'll devote more thought to it IF I need to one day.

No pre-planned funerals here. Some people think it spares the bereaved from the burden of doing all that at a traumatic time. My experience has been that having something to DO is more therapeutic than just sitting around grieving.

We have wills already and they are ok, but I might consider adding something about my after death wishes into my will the next time we update them. Can't trust sr and jr to figure it out ..lol

So easy to let that will thing lapse. "I'm fine - I'll do it sometime".
You CAN always just handwrite a codicil to your will with those extra wishes, though.

My mother had part of her funeral planned and I was most appreciative of that. I was 29 when she died and very inexperienced for this sort of venue. I was glad she did as much as she did. It allowed me time to absorb what was going on and to listen to offers of assistance and most importantly to grieve. My mother's grade one teacher happen to be on a bus trip, passing through town. She heard about my Mom's passing and came to the funeral home to express her condolences. Sadly, I was busy elsewhere so missed this opportunity but my Dad told us about it. My Mom was only 48 and I'm willing to bet her teacher wasn't a whole lot older.
Six months later her parents both died. it was tough. I've learned to love the days I have.
