St. Jacobs Empty St. Jacobs

I see that the St. Jacobs market burned down this morning. Huge fire. I'm sure it will be a huge loss for that community.

I was never able to make it to the St. Jacobs market but spoke with those who had and was told that it was just terrific. The variety and quality was just endless. I agree RT, it was definitely be missed, both economically and as a social centre.

Truly, this will be quite a devastating blow to the local economy. We have been there several times. It was a great road trip for the day with the promise, at the end of the day, for good food. We would also tour Fergus and Elmira. St. Jacobs was more 'wholesome' with less commercialism than the other two places. But just think about how great the new and improved version will be!
