Time to be on the alert again

Was visited this afternoon by a dark complected young man from "National Energy" who wanted to go check the stats on my water heater - because there was some kind of deal that was being offered for an upgrade - from Direct Energy and Reliance. Interestingly enough, Reliance was taken over by a different company within the last year - and we've never dealt with Direct Energy.

Don't know what the scam IS - but I do know it was a scam. Very persistent young man - hard to get rid of - but, beware - IT IS A SCAM.

These companies get traded like baseball cards.
Always remember they are first interested in making a profit.
These sales persons are I think on straight commission,and like to operate in the "grey" area as far a consumer laws and rules go sometimes.
They try to keep people off balance so to speak. Sometimes they may lie.
Pushiness is a trademark.Are they more pushy with women? Just curious, have noticed that, depending where these guys are from,local women may be treated differently than they are used to.This is not meant to be a racist observation , just a sociological one.
I watch ,listen,and notice things, that's all.
