So, is it easier to attain that "peace" when you are are older and more experienced (and maybe exposed - and possibly a bit jaded) - or when you are young and enthusiastic - and hopefully, looking forward to the future?

Being at peace with yourself can happen at any age. Mine started about when I was 40.
