Yesterday Dick Clark and in the past few hours the great drummer for The Band died. Levon Helm was 71. The Band truly was "The Band"..one of the best of all time and of course had the local flavour of Rick Danko...So many great songs came from them.."The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down", The Weight, and the seminal album "Music From Big Pink"

Sorry to hear about Levon too. You're right - the Band holds a special place in the hearts of a lot of Norfolk people - of my age! anyway!
