It's Sunday! Empty It's Sunday!

Good Morning Everyone. It's Sunday, supposedly our day of rest from the week. Unless you are retired of course and then almost everyday is a Saturday or Sunday. At least that's the way we feel.
It's a crisp one degree here on the island with a light wind. The wind has been blustery almost every day for a week. Gusts range between 25 and 55 km/h. That's the tough part for us. We are in a wind tunnel on the Trent Severen Water System. Next week we have some serious outdoor work to complete so I hope it calms down. Our Monterey will have be boated to Buckhorn Yacht Club soon too. The other boats go to Emerald Isle Marina. Two stay on the island. I would really like to cut the grass one more time but wouldn't you know, last week the lawn mower conked out. It's been in the shop for a week for the second time this summer and I've only cut the grass five times!! Anyone want to loan us a goat for a week?
Hubby wants to do some bookkeeping and computer stuff. There goes hours with him out of site.
I think I just may just make a hearty beef stew and pie pastry for a rhubarb/strawberry pie. Time to start decreasing the contents of the freezer.
Have a great day all!

Our thoughts regarding food are running in the same direction Kishgo, but I was thinking beef barley soup, stuffed baby back ribs and something with strawberries. The freezer contents are going down, probably have about 10 meals there yet.

My thoughts were of boiled beef shank - to create a stew.

Don't have that same "empty the freezer" impetus - as we're not going anywhere yet. Will have to unload the Turkey Point freezer - but that's just a 25 minute ride home to another freezer.

Roast beef, mashed potatoes and squash on the menu today.

I think our freezers (yes, freezers - plural) are so full we could eat out of them for about 3 months. 'Tis the season for bigger meals tho.
