What interests our 16 regulars? Empty What interests our 16 regulars?

I've got a gut feeling it's retired's jokes!

What other topics are of interest? Local politics? World politics? Some nostalgia?

I'm finding the local political scene a little bit interesting. Trying to discern whether signs are a true indication of how the mayorial vote is going to go. By my count - in the Delhi to Turkey Point drive - and occasionally to Simcoe or Tburg - highway only - it's looking like Luke's in the forefront. OR - do signs prove anything?

The world scene is probably too dismal to comment on!

As for nostalgia - it's tobacco harvest time. Haven't been anywhere where I could smell that tobacco being cured aroma - bot THAT is nostalgia!

For me I'm not into politics ,nostalgia is good, and good for Retired. Picture's are good, especially taken by the poster. One other thing short posts not cut and paste .

Yes I still like the smell of cured tobacco. I like to listen to people bitch about elected officals but would never think about running or helping them do a better job. I do hope Charlie wins.
World politics is getting to be turn off, thats all that is on the late news anymore. Not really anything we can do to fix that. I do like to stir the pot on another forum from time to time. Oh my fingers are tired now

Don't know if I qualify as one of those 16 regulars or not but I've enjoyed the photos as well Rick. Retired makes my day worth while most mornings, and I truly thank him. As for the political scene, the local action holds my interest more than the broader picture. Love to hear of Kishgo's travels and cottage improvements, and enjoyed photos of projects that I believe it was Rick performed. Guess you could just say that I'm interested in people.

I'm more of a browser than a poster. but I do enjoy sharing photos
with everyone. The nostalgia topics are good, bring back old memories..
Local politics are sometimes interesting...and hearing about
the other southern traveler's exploits.
I try to get down there every spring for two to three weeks,
even though like Gail force, I now travel alone. I really like a little
place I found several years back, Lauderdale By The Sea..

And of course I look forward to retired's jokes ..Thanks to retired
and observer and the others for keeping this forum alive...

I will try to post more often...If I can think of anything interesting to say..

Re travel - I've presently spent hours this afternoon looking for A Caribbean vacation - after Xmas - but without too many school days missing on the tail end - for us and son & grandson - who, last year, became scuba diver enthusiasts. I'm looking at Cozumel, Roatan in the Honduras and the Mayan Riviera. Any other suggestions?

Well, we just came back from Jamaica, and I was quite impressed. Definitely a step up as compared to Cuba or Dominican in regards to infrastructure.

We've been south about 20 times now & Jamaica will rate high on my favourites list. Hot, hot, hot there Wink

Hey Ruby - always loved Jamaica too. First time there was back in 1981!!! When I think of Jamaica, I thin reggae and jerk perk!

Not sure if I am considered a regular as I don't post as often anymore. I love the opinions offered and topics discussed. Sorry Retired, not a big fan of anyone's jokes. We have a friend who sends 25 to 30 at least once a week and I think I have been turned off by them. Glad to hear that the pictures segment is as well rec'd as much as I love them too. I'm not a world traveller (sadly, not my choice!) so I thoroughly enjoy hearing and seeing the world through the eyes of posters on this forum.
Experience is a great teacher. Good to know I can post a query or concern and it is genuinely rec'd.

Fantastic. Everyone I know that has made this journey absolutely loves it. We have family members who live in Dutch Harbour Alaska.

Retired stirred the pot , I got the boot. Trying to support his cooking.

Well, today had a dozen people check in - so I guess that's a positive.

You can provide the water - but if there are no horses to lead there - nobody is going to drink!

Nice that there are still 12 thirsty horses on this site.
