Re: So, who is Kevin?
Kevin showed up on the other forum around election time. Figured he was Steve/Kevin/hector and maybe a few more

Didn't think I recognized Steve/Kevin/Hector's style; unless you think he's masquerading as a lady now?

Didn't realize gomillergo was suppose to be a woman. I seem to be barred from members list.
I could be wrong but it seems strange that someone new surfaces when there is an election and and pushes one person or party as hard as he/she is.

A NEW WORD IS BORN
I knew someone would find a name for our election process for this year.
ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION:
The inability to become aroused over any of the choices for council
put forth for the 2014 election year.
Amen!!!

Re: So, who is Kevin?
Not in the least. Actually I think the new guy on the other forum has been around a number of times under different names, especially at election times, raises a little $hit and then leaves. My humble opinion I could be wrong. I was wrong one other time, but it turned out I was right after all and that is what I was wrong about. Oh now look what you started, I can't quite. My fingers are sore from typing. Bye for now

Yup, but I have been wrong before. Actually the last time I was wrong I was really right and that is why I was wrong. OH well

Re: So, who is Kevin?
For any of you who might be wondering what this is all about: This forum as you may remember, was a different animal at one time - and it was "hosted" by myself and a fellow called "hector" - except, of course, Hector was not just a pseudonym, as a lot of us use; it was a total false identity - including a totally fabricated "life". On some other forums, he was known as Steve - or Kevin Boster. On the forum with this name, he created a few additional false identities, with the aim of "keeping things interesting" - so that, in fact, sometimes his three or four personae would have conversations with each other.
The original forum under this name got wiped when I finally identified a total falsehood that he was trying to perpetrate - and Hector, his private email address - and this forum all disappeared!
So - retired and I seem to have a tendency to recognize - or think we recognize - when our buddy Hector/Kevin/Steve is at it again - albeit on another forum!
As Paul Harvey would say "And that's the rest of the story"

Re: So, who is Kevin?
Just never wanted him to have the satisfaction to gloat over the grand deception he'd pulled - so I haven't chosen to reveal it all before.
I DID get an email from him - I HAD given him MY private email address - and he'd give ME his - the one that disappeared when he pulled the plug LOL - about a year later - and he commented how pulling the scam had been one of the most fun things he'd done in a long time. Lots of little niceties - about how he'd liked me and enjoyed talking with me privately - as well as on the site!!!
Such a shame that such a good thing had been instigated by such a bad apple!

Re: So, who is Kevin?
So - I'm going to continue - and try to get myself off the hook a little here. I was not - and am not - particularly computer literate - and knowing how to establish sites - or hardly know what an IP address is etc. - so all the technical stuff of setting up the site was handled by him. So when he unplugged it - I couldn't - or didn't know how to - do anything about it. Couldn't resurrect it to its original self. So, a couple of people - retired and spidubic - handled that part - after a few private conversations with them, about what had happened - but we never reconnected with all the former members. Retired has done an excellent job - almost single handedly - of keeping things moving here with his daily postings. Without a membership base like we previously had, the likelihood of discussing "topics" becomes pretty slim; but, it still would be a lovely thing to see! LOL. Back to a local board where you could say MOST anything you wanted without fear of censorship!

Re: So, who is Kevin?
There seem to be only 16 people who have signed on to even look since the beginning of Sept - so it DOESN'T seem like the most popular local site going! LOL Whereas there have been about 44 in the same time period at our local Norfolk Friends site.

Re: So, who is Kevin?
I remember Hector, and also Steve. The other guy must have been after I left ... Or shall I say got banned for a day or two and then REFUSED to go back.
I don't get what what a person would get out of doing that. Must be very bored. Having conversations amongst their own fake identities!

Re: So, who is Kevin?
Kevin Boster was just a name he made up - and boasted to me about - as a means to get back on that forum from which you were banned. There had been a guy named Kevin Foster registered there - and he was sure that no one would ever notice if he was there as Kevin Boster instead - and, in fact, they didn't. He explained to me how there are ways to fake IP addresses and all that good stuff - which went totally over my head - and still would!!! So - that's probably why you never heard of Kevin.
Steve was an administrator on the forum BEFORE these two - can't remember Norfolk WHAT. He also banned me from that site - reasons I can't remember now!

Re: So, who is Kevin?
I think that was Leslie's site. I got in trouble when I asked her who was looking after the kiids she was babysitting while she was on the internet. She said she was only on the net when the kids were sleeping. They must have been sleeping all day
