Do you have an opinion on the judgement with Oscar Pestorius in South Africa? Not guilty of murder - but guilty of what we might refer to as manslaughter. Decided by judge alone - without jury. It just seemed to me that it was murder - even possibly first degree - who can believe the bullshit that he thought it was an intruder??? Clearly, in my mind, the girlfriend was hiding from him in the bathroom - and he got her anyway!!!

Why is everyone so angry? Why do they feel that its all right to lash out and hurt someone else? Why are there no longer fast and speedy action/reactions to these terrible outpourings of violence? Why do we sit back and accept it a the norm? What is wrong with humanity today?

I have watched the news and read the papers. Of course we are reading on person's bias and interpretation. Personally, I find it hard to imagine how he didn't know his GF was in the bathroom, but on the other hand, I wasn't there. I don't know the whole story or background. Smooth talker? Perhaps? Dangerous times for a defenceless man? Who knows. That's about as much thought as I gave the whole situation. Nothing I say, think or feel will make any difference in any of their lives.

Crime in our society is getting worse and worse every day. The reason for it is the lack of punishment, period. Combine that with money and it becomes even more corrupt.

Nowadays just hire a fancy ass lawyer (if you have the bucks) and everything gets swept under the carpet. And society then learns that all that corruption is ok, and then it continues to get worse.

It's growing everywhere ... Beating kids, kidnapping women, (look at the NFL), drugs and assault (Justin Beiber). These guys are also the public figures setting examples for our young ones today.

Speaking of domestic violence in the NFL .... I might get some very spirited responses from this - but .... Should someone be fired from his job because he's accused - or even convicted - of domestic violence? If this were an employee at a factory that was charged, would he get fired? Or the CEO of a company? CEO would probably just do a "mea culpa" a la Rob Ford - and promise to do better, and go on with his job!

OH boy. Is there something in their contract about being good boys??? You don't hear about this as much in the other sports. Not to start something here but are not most of the offenders of a certain race??? Would a cop be fired???
