Will the cold -5 or so tonite affect the blossoms or buds that are on trees and plants. Or will it affect them only if we get a frost .?

I think anything below 0 - as in -5 for example, indicates frost, since 0 is the freezing point!

But isn't it too early for fruit blossoms? I think the buds for leaves may be out now but not fruit blossoms. If the leaf buds get frozen then no worries since new ones will appear later...right?

Looks like we got a frost. Cars were white but the grass was not. Wife says it likely was not a killing frost. So fingers crossed the fruit trees survived.

On CD989 the other day they were talking to a woman with fruit trees who said her trees were a month ahead of schedule and she was worried about frost. I can only think this means whatever stage the trees are in a frost can be disastrous.
