Jarvis Wind Turbines Empty Jarvis Wind Turbines

We were headed to Burlington this past weekend and as we are driving into Jarvis we look over to our right and off in the distance are Wind Turbines, maybe a dozen. Then we drive through headed for Hagersville and darned if there are not another dozen or so running. Holy Crap!

Had the same experience last year when I went to visit a friend south of Blenheim. All of a sudden the vista outside my windshield was filled with wind turbines. It is such a shock to see something that you are not expecting.

I enjoy seeing them when i'm near burwell.
my daughters work office is very close to one,and i asked her if it bothered her,the sight or sounds from it,but she said she could only hear it the odd time, and it told heer if the wind was bloswing,or if her dad was talking ?

i know her dad and he very seldom talks?

Right here right now in our province wind power is at a whopping 90 megawatts.
Installed right now is approaching 2000 megawatts.
So "burning" more uranium and COAL! and gas to make up the huge shortfall.
That's one problem with wind power, it can vary minute to minute which is really challenging to the people trying to keep our lights on.
Wind power will not save us.

Burning garbage still seems like the best way. Kill two birds with one stone.

oh i think it is well known that wind alone will never be enough to do it.
but it helps,as solar, gas from garbage, burnning garbage and some small hydro installations would also help.
but condemning anyone type will never help either!
like some think we should burn more coal, have more nukes, use more hydro, etc.etc.
but a mix of everything will be good for all,as they will always have somthing else to fall back on.
a hundred or so years ago, everyone thought using coal was to much money, and hydro,(water) was all that was worth while, but they improved the minining, transportation, and use of coal so it got to be ok !
then after ww2, they thought nukes would be best, but have yet not perfected them.(how to stop radiation leaks,how/where to dispose of nuclear waste, etc.)
and they think now that there is no more hydro power to be used, and that carbon di oxide is going to kill us,so now its wind, natural gas,solar,burning/composting garbage,or many other things.
i don't even have the foggiest of what the answer might be,but i'm not going to condemn any one thing yet !
