Mail delivery 3 days a week

Mail delivery 3 days a week -- YES or NO
I'm all for it. While we are at it lets get rid of door to door delivery. If I can't get mail delivered to my
door neither should anyone else. Postage is the same for everyone so should service.

I don't see why 3 days a week would not work. Most of the mail we get now is junk mail. Monday - Wednesday - Friday should be just fine.

How would you get around the union with this, trickie but will have to be done

Monday, Wednesday and Friday would get my vote. But I'm sure the post office workers would disagree if layoffs were a result.

i could get by with once a week !
have the workers left roate around from area to area,after laying 40% off or just have 40% of them retire.
a former school mate,retired at 51 years of age out of the PO, and now is self employed. didn't take any pension until he was 60,so now gets over $50 grand pesion per year and struggles by on his business income!
really suffers !

Some days already we receive no mail.
The union head is already excited saying how bad an idea this is.
3 days a week is good for me. The times they are a 'changin.

Three days a week is more than plenty for me. I could get by with 2 easily ... And once wouldn't necessarily be a show stopper either.

Times do change but hard for some to go with it. The postal workers used to deliver to each house and then to a central postal box in your neighbourhood (new subdivisions) and now with electronic mail, the services may have to be reduced. Some can adapt and some can't. The union head has a job, to protect his/her members and so naturally, there will be some unhappy campers.
