‘Ontario economy is worse than California’:

they are again saying/warning people that the provincial economy is in worse shape than california's, which is the worst in the usa !
so to avoid becoming like greece or some others in europe, should we be willing to take less services,and punish rule breakers/lawbreakers more,or what ?

Instead of saying "take less service," which implies that we'll be losing something, how about saying "cut spending," which does not have to translate into losing services--we know that there is plenty of wasteful spending going on in government departments and agencies, and cutting that will have no impact on "services," whatever that means to people.
