How Tragic!

A 28-year-old Haldimand County woman and her three-year-old son were killed in six-vehicle collision in Caledonia on Friday.

Around 2:50 p.m. a white SUV was driving northbound on the Highway 6 bypass when, for unknown reasons, the SUV entered the southbound lane.

"At this time...Everything is being considered as possible contributing factors," said Const. Mark Foster with the Haldimand County OPP.

After entering the southbound lane the SUV was struck by a transport truck before colliding with four additional vehicles.

"All of the other involved drivers were not injured," said Foster.

The names of the deceased have not been released.

The Highway 6 bypass remained closed for several hours following the collision for an investigation.

I saw the story on chch news tonight. Such a tragedy. It really makes you realize that the small things in life just aren't worth sweating.

A week ago we went on vacation south. The day we got home it snowed ever so slightly and our son rolled his pick up tuck. Scared the begesers out of me. He is fine, but it sure makes you realize what you have and just how precious life really is. Never take any one day for granted.
