The in-laws live in Naples. Dear wife is heading down in Feb. for a visit.

Going to Cuba with my family in November, and then south again in February with just the old man . Actually, it's no big deal taking the kids now, as they are old enough to manage a week in their own room.

I would love to go back to Europe, or to go to Asia(never been there), but it's very difficult to get away from work for more than one week. Have to put that in the retirement plans.

No, I don't have interest in a cruise. I want to go places, but not on a cruise. Just travelling and seeing the sights of other countries.

Ruby - at your age, I didn't want to cruise either. However, we've found that it's a convenient way to see a lot of places - without having to pack and unpack daily - or drive in unfamiliar places. We've driven in the Caribbean and Mexico, of course - but it seems a whole different ball game in crowded European cities - and I wouldn't even THINK about driving in Istanbul or Cairo or Alexandria!
