Bylaw in this town getting ridiculous!
First the Friendship Festival parking ticket fiasco and now Budd's has been ordered to remove its tables from the sidewalk by bylaw enforcement. WTF!
Regulations can give town a bad reputation
For as long as I can remember Budd's has always had tables out on the sidewalks for sidewalk sales. Now all of a sudden they are a problem? I say again WTF!

Seems kind of ironic since most people I know complain that when they actually call by-law about something they darn near die of old age by the time anyone comes around....IF anyone comes around, lol.

When I was a teenager (maybe a few years ago!!!) I worked at Budd's in Ladies Wear. On the sidewalk sale days, it was my job to keep the outdoor tables neat and tidy and I suspect to watch for shoplifters. Can't say that I ever saw/caught anyone. Sidewalk sale days are part of the charm of Simcoe. I've ALWAYS looked forward to those sale bargains. You?

well there is a good thing being overlooked here !
the by-law enforcement people are doing a job that is of the uppermost importance t canada, ontario, and norfolk county !
they are creating JOBS ! !
i have'nt done an actual head count, but from what i gather we have a larger group of by-law office personell (paid personell,a lot of by-law positions were filled by volunteers in the various townships, with the towns being done by various department employees")than ever in the history of norfolk ! !
and if it weren't for all of these positions all (or most) of these people would be unemployed !
then they would be collecting uic,or welfare and living on about 15% of the income they now make with only your taxes being less (plus you not getting to pay tickets every time you turn around ) ! !
and thigs might go back to being freindly!
and no one would like that as the local council wouldn't have any reason to keep writing new by-laws !
