Looks like the door has opened a crack to allow driverless cars on the road.

in order to use the HOVlanes people put a dummy in the passenger seat off there cars !
but with these cars they are able to put a driver dummy in plus the passenger dummy and send the car out by itself !

That raises an interesting though. Could you setup the car to drive without a real person inside?

Wouldn't that give Homeland security a fit!! Imagine all the suicide bombers whose lives could be spared! Just put the bomb in the trunk and away you go - literally.

Saw the TV news reports of this "innovation". Interesting. One worries about computer failure and what might happen; yet - I guess, accidents happen from human failure as well!

confused

i thought everyone with a licence was well trained and never made errors ?

and with all of the new highway laws,racing,stunt driving,no cell phone usage,and no other distractions that no one ever nade a mistake !
