A Recent Passing

Rick, did your mother pass away yesterday at almost one hundred years of age? If so, please accept my condolences.

Sad to say yes. All tho I am happy she can start on her new Journey free of pain.

Almost a hundred years old. Wow. Can you imagine all the changes she has seen in her lifetime?From horses to cars to telephone to tv to computers and so much inbetween. Amazing. And you are right, many mixed emotions. But she will be happy on the other side with family and friends. Never alone.

Yes, a lot of emotions. Having lost my Mom on January 21st, I know what you're going through. Because of regulations in the area where she lived she was not buried...that happens next Saturday so another emotional time. Many say it's like losing your loved one all over again!

My condolences to you as well catscraps. That's the day my father died six years ago.
Our very good friend died on Mar. 5 and on the 20th, the family had a celebration of his life. I kind of wondered if they too felt the loss all over again, but honestly, this family hardly shed a tear. The kids, 12, 10 and 8 were always smiling, laughing and joking with everyone about their Dad. Everyone told stories about him and what he meant to each person. It really was great.
Perhaps your family might feel that way too.
