The sequel is now available.
I saw the first one - and wasn't overly impressed - because I thought it was very "doomsday" and offered no hope to the characters when it finished.
I HAVE read all 3 books in the trilogy since, and much preferred the presentation in the book.
Any of you read the books - or seen the movies? - or plan to?

Have a girl friend that I share my passion for reading with who recommended the books, but haven't acted on it Mainly because the ads for the first movie were so depressing.

I saw the first one, then I watched part of the second one. They were good - albeit different.
I love to read, but not usually that type of book.

My regular diet is mystery - but am happy to diverge once in a while with something with a little meat in it. This trilogy was good, I thought.
