Action at the mall

Lots of activity at the mall this morning with all the people lined up to receive their flu shots. I guess there are a lot of people that believe that taking the shot improves their chances of missing the bug, or at least having a lesser dose of illness.

After losing half my left lung early this year, I'm among those that will get the flu shot. I'm also going to have a preventive shot for pneumonia - but at least that one is good for five years. I'm a big baby when it comes to those needles!

I've gotten a flu shot every year for an unknown number of years and wouldn't go without it. Just my opinion.

Didn't realize the pneumonia shot was only good for 5 years. better check with the doc next visit

I've only had one during my entire life but this year I will get a flu shot. Being out of the country makes me think twice about becoming ill and if this shot lessens the symptoms, I'm in.

I checked this morning Retired while at the doctors office. Apparently, in Canada, most people only need to have 1 shot for pneumonia prevention: maximum two. In the Us however, they believe in the "every five years" principle. I guess that's to benefit both the medical profession and the drug makers!!

Never had a flu shot. Don't know what injecting that might do down the road, right or wrong. If i were in a higher risk category I believe I would think differently.
