Spring this year, Lauderdale Florida.
I always go down to the beach in the mornings
to watch the sunrise. It is always nice and sometimes spectacular,
I must have a hundred or more shots from that same beach over the years..

Life has been very quiet and slow. I had a serious accident the very first day we were here. A steel beam hit me in the face, threw me backwards and I landed on the steel framing of the dock, stared to slide between the frames, caught myself before falling in the water and then crawled to the land, about 24 feet away. Hubby was on land and totally unable to assist unless I fell into the frigid water. Not a chance!! We didn't need to be wet and cold in addition to everything else.

Very windy today but warm and pleasant. We actually had to turn on the a/c for a bit on the weekend only because of the humidity, which I don't like at all. Don't mind the heat though.

I was very sorry to read of the passing of Rick K. due to a year long battle with cancer. My condolences to his family, his sister MB and BIL RB

I'm improving Observer. My speech is almost normal. My two middle top teeth that were pushed to the roof of my mouth are almost in place. Still can't bite either. Sounds are fine in my head, but when I speak, some are still hard to form. S sounds are difficult as is anything with 'ouse'. My top lip is now 1 mm shorter than it used to be.
The broken ribs are fairly healed but every now and then one or two 'twinge'.
My cosmetic dental surgeon and the plastic surgeon both feel that heeling is still necessary and want me to wait until May before we make any decisions.
The plastic surgeon also suggested massage and stretching exercises for my lip and is quite hopeful that surgery will not be required in the spring. Honestly, one mm doesn't sound like much but it makes a huge difference.
I am lucky to be alive I'm told. Guess my time wasn't up!

Kishgo, I didn't realize you were hurt so badly. All the best and hope for a quick and full recovery. Does this put a dent in your winter plans?

Nope, not at all. If I have to just wait for the healing to finish, I can do that in FL just as well! Healing takes longer now that I am a *tad* over 30 but that`s okay. It`s not as if I have to have tons of energy for my job!
