Forum changes
Hello there. As you may have noticed the forum does not quite look the way it once did. the forum started by Hector and Observer has suffered a catastrophic failure in the form of deletion. Hector is MIA and while Observer was stuck out in the cold. When it appeared Hector was not going to undelete the forum I stepped in and resurrected it using the same address in the hopes of having a place for those members of the forum to return to who have no idea what happened and no where to find out. At the moment I have no idea if I will continue the forum or just leave it as a lighthouse in the dark of the internet for former members to return to and at least know partly what happened.

Thanks for doing this.
All we can do is see where this goes from here.

Re: Forum changes
Now that we know who the "saviour" is - the new admin of this forum - I want to thank him again for stepping in and providing a place for former members of the forum with this same name to at least know they weren't totally abandoned.
I guess it will be up to the membership here - new or returning - whether they want to re-establish the vibrant communications site that got so abruptly shut down. I've missed the active, free-to-say-what-you-wish site (within reason, of course) - and am very happy that Spid has stepped up to the plate to try to offer this replacement/continuation.
Up to you guys now, I guess.

Re: Forum changes
Having a forum pulled out from under you and never knowing what happened sucks. My basic goal reviving the site was to at least allow people to know kind of what happened.
This forum was really a reflection of its members. And I hope the new one continues the tradition.
