BB Variety ESSO Empty BB Variety ESSO

Curious as to why they seem to jump their gas prices every once and a while. Typically they are a penny or two more than other stations but two weeks ago they were 6 cents more and yesterday I noticed they were a full 11 cents more than anyone else. Kind of odd.

Read in the Toronto Star today about Canadian Tire, Pioneer Energy and Best Gas located in the Kingston area, being fined for price fixing. Say it isn't so!! Sad

I find it odd that Pioneer was price fixing as their prices are generally the cheapest.

Pioneer used to be the least expensive here but now we go to a gas station just outside the city that tends to be three or four cents cheaper. (Hubby says he likes to go there for a drive with the dog!!) I'm not arguing. They both love it!

The gas at BB Variety Esso has been about six cents a litre less than Esso at Scotland. That's unusual. It's usually the other way around. I don't think we can begin to understand how the prices are set.

back when i could still work, i had a card lock account with BB in renton,(offices in waterford) and another with davis's in burford (card lock pump for deisel fuel,self serve behind variety store) and BB was always 1 to 6 cents higher than davis's prices.
but it was handy when going east (buffalo and beyond) so i still used it !
