on this day in 1956,in memphis, the million dollar quartet got together and recorded some music that was lost for 25 years before it was found and made public !
pictures were taken of all four when they were together, and were used quite a bit for publicity.
they were,
john cash,folsom prison blues,and i walk the line,(two hits already)
elvis presley,who was yet to become "the king"
carl perkins,blue suede shoe's (a recent hit)
jerry lee lewis.who had yet to release "whole lotta shakin goin on" (and who was working for $15. per set)
