Re: Log in issues
Before I log in, I have had a pop up that says there is a long script running. Once I click on the X, the script stops and then I can proceed to the log in.

Re: Log in issues
I find the ability to move anything on my screen takes abnormally long- as in cursor won't respond right away.
I've also gotten that same message that kishgo mentions about a script running that mya slow things down or something.

Re: Log in issues
I am normally not logged out so I may have to log out for a bit and see what happens. Wondering if it is the ads on the page or some other link on the site.

Re: Log in issues
What browser are you using? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, something else?
Re: Log in issues
I never log out either so see no problem. Will log out to see what happens

Re: Log in issues
I don't log out either - but I often "leave" and go elsewhere on the net. Often, when I come back is when the reaction time is slow. That is not usually the case if I open up Norfolk Friends, for example.
I use Internet Explorer.
I no longer get ads either.
I wonder if that "script" message has to do with the info running on the left side?

Its possible. I will look at turning that stuff off and see if it helps.
Re: Log in issues
I use IE.
The script message pops up randomly. The ads are always present.

Re: Log in issues
Seems faster to get in. No script message, but as said prev., it is very random.

Re: Log in issues
For me - I just got in here and was able to post immediately - where before I ALWAYS had to wait a while till I was able to do anything. (Odd how long seconds can feel in this instant communications world!)

Re: Log in issues
I just turned off the sidebar on the left. It had some widgets like a calender and scrolling list of posts. Seemed cool but apparently it was causing the slowdown issues as well as scripting errors.
Re: Log in issues
So, is anyone missing that scrolling sidebar? (Other than those of us who are finding things faster without it - and thus are noticing its absence - but not missing it?)
