100%cpu usage

My cpu was running at 85 - 100% but could not see what was running to cause this. Finally went deep enough and found that the software for my Western Digital
portable harddrive was running in the background all the time even when when the harddrive was disconnected. Did a goggle search and found that it is a common problem with this hadrdrive software with no fix available. Finally had to delete the software and all is good now, but backup will have to be manual from now on. Just info incase anyone else is having this problem
