My son brought us morels today that grow in his lawn. He says they usually don't get them till Mother's Day. Just a little boon for the early spring we had, I guess.

Still anxiously awaiting the asparagus' re-appearance!

Oh, I can hardly wait for fresh asparagus. The season will arrive about two weeks following yours, a down side of not living in the garden belt. After that, the strawberries will come. HMMMMM...HMMMM Strawberry cheesecake!

What do you do with morels? - if you happen to be lucky enough to find some?

We were pretty full tonight after a late lunch = so I just sauteed them in butter - with a bit of lemon to finish - and then added some eggs to the mixture + toast.

Felt like it wasn't really an adequate tribute to the morels!

Any other suggestions?
